Software Engineer – Scalable Backend Systems for the Energy Transition

Hybrid Greentech inspires organizations to be green pioneers and invest in electrical energy storage so that together we can reach 100% renewable energy. We and our customers are part of an emerging renewable market expected to see 30-fold growth over the coming years.

We are a diverse and international team of 30+ people with expertise in renewable energy, energy storage, energy trading, machine learning, and AI. Together, we aim to revolutionize energy storage, grid-scale battery systems, and other flexible assets in the energy and power markets.

Based in our Høje Tåstrup office, you'll join our software team that builds and maintains the systems powering our virtual power plant platform.

More specifically, your areas of responsibility will be

• Designing and implementing scalable backend applications using modern languages and frameworks
• Working with databases like Postgres and Clickhouse to support high-throughput, reliable systems
• Building and maintaining software in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS)
• Contributing to distributed systems that handle large-scale data flows and decision-making logic
• Collaborating closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams

What you bring and your qualities

We’re looking for someone with:

• 2+ years of experience building backend applications using statically typed languages (e.g., Rust, C#, Go, C++)
• Experience working with databases like Postgres or Clickhouse
• Familiarity with Python and SQL is a bonus
• Exposure to distributed systems and/or cloud environments is useful
