Since 2004, the VELUX Group has been inviting students of architecture to participate in The International VELUX Award. The award, occurring every 2 years, is the largest global competition of its kind for students of architecture and connects more than 800 architecture schools and universities in over 100 countries around the World. To make this happen, we are looking for an engaged student assistant to join the team – so get ready to be part of creating a great International VELUX Award 2026!

About The Job

You will join the Daylight, Energy and Indoor Climate (DEIC) team that is part of our Product and Innovation organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and create content, contribute to communication and be part of preparing the competition during the different phases of The International VELUX Award 2026 lifecycle. Additionally, you will support other activities within the Daylight and Architecture agenda.

Your tasks will include:

  • Creating and updating content for our website.
  • Planning, producing and publishing content on our social media channels and our newsletter.
  • Writing articles, press releases and conducting interviews with winners and jury members.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks and event planning.
  • Coordinating with our internal agency on communication materials e.g., development of graphics, images, exhibition material etc.
  • Managing the mail inbox and responding to student inquiries on our social media platforms.

We expect you to work 15 hours per week and offer a flexible work plan that can be adapted to fit your educational needs and study programme.

You will be based with the team at our Head Office in Hørsholm.

About You

You describe yourself as structured, solution oriented, and curious to explore different aspects of communication. You manage your responsibilities well and are committed to your work.

You have great interpersonal and communication skills and respect for people’s different backgrounds. You are motivated by helping and supporting others.

We imagine that you:

  • Are studying design/architecture or marketing/communication, with an interest in both fields, and that you have at least one year left of your studies.
  • Are a skilled writer and have some experience in using social media professionally.
  • Have interest in planning and producing digital communication.
  • Have basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Speak and write English fluently.
