The Risk and Compliance Tribe is looking to expand and is looking for a (senior) risk analyst. The Tribe brings together business and IT professionals into cross-functional teams which enables us to work in a truly Agile organisation. Each team is self-organized and empowers members to make decisions and take action to deliver on products and services for our stakeholders.

Currently we are looking for a (senior) Risk Analyst to support our Credit Model & Data Reporting squad on their mission to ‘Deliver simple and transparent reporting on IRB (Internal Rating based) and credit model performance and data quality’.

Additionally, you will be part of the Risk Analyst Chapter, where we align on the standards for our work and where you are expected to contribute to a culture of collaboration, learning, and shared goals with around 30 other Risk Analysts. We aim for excellence in our work, but we also value having fun and respecting each other and diverse views when doing so.

You will be a part of dynamic teams in a matrix organisation, working in a brisk and high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

The scope of activities includes data gathering, calculation of statistical measures, validation and documentation in the context of setting up monitoring solutions for newly developed models and data. Furthermore, you will work with reviewing, optimising and enhancing existing solutions to be in line with the monitoring requirements and Danske Bank’s model landscape.

Moreover, in this role you will be exposed to activities related to:

  • Creating and upgrading Tableau dashboards to provide data insights in efficient and user-friendly ways.
  • Improving and optimising recurring monitoring processes for data quality and model performance by building and continuously enhancing automated data workflows using SQL stored procedures and Python scripts.
  • Ensuring that processes and data elements are well documented to meet the requirements from auditors and stakeholders (both data provider and consumer).
  • Interacting with stakeholders across the Bank while becoming a specialist for model performance monitoring.
  • Being a part of an agile organization coordinating the transformation and improving the ways we do risk analysis and management.

You are also expected to collaborate with a wide set of stakeholders in the Bank.

Qualifications

We are looking for a person who is motivated by data, as well as risk and models. We imagine that you have at 2+ years of experience as a risk analyst, preferably within the financial sector. Furthermore, you:

  • Are skilled in SQL coding and ideally also Python.
  • Can communicate complex matters in a simple and understandable way in English, tailored for specific user audiences
  • Are skilled in handling data and apply it when solving business problems or translating regulation into meaningful analyses. Experience with data and model governance is an advantage.
  • Are self-driven and have a methodical approach with strong sense of taking responsibility and find pleasure in achieving better solutions through collaboration, feedback, or challenge.
  • You should be skilled in analysing errors and bugs, have strong error handling skills, and be effective at finding coding solutions.
  • Have an academic background in mathematics, statistics, econometrics or similar.
  • Possess strong stakeholder management skills.

Knowledge and experience in Python, as well as statistical modelling would be considered an advantage.
