Job Description
We are looking for a Product Owner to lead a team managing one of the Bank’s core systems. As a Product Owner in Customer Capabilities, you will develop and manage a backlog and deliveries that contribute to the product strategy of your portfolio. You will be a system steward, responsible for preparing requirements, planning sprints, and managing stakeholders and consumers. Internally, you will plan and prioritise deliveries, ensuring contributions to the strategy and vision of the area/tribe/domain.
Overall, you will have the opportunity to significantly influence a foundational system within Danske Bank while directly impacting our technical solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with comprehensive knowledge of various business lines and customer types. You should be adept at translating business needs into technical specifications within a complex landscape.
Our team operates in a scaled agile setup, with squads across multiple geographies, including Business Analysts, Developers, and Centres of Excellence. We strive to enhance our working methods to create value for our consumers and stakeholders. Fostering teamwork and engagement within the squad is crucial, as is collaborating with other Product Owners across the domain/tribe

Your Primary Tasks Will Be:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap that considers the bigger picture.
- Ensure transparency and maintain close dialogue with stakeholders to secure squad deliveries.
- Maintain an overview of the product, requirements, and progress, prioritising requirements and setting the direction of the product.
- Set sprint goals, plan sprint content, and manage the backlog.
- Build domain knowledge and ensure effective knowledge-sharing within the squad.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner, Project Manager or a similar position with expertise from the Financial Services sector.
- Experience and knowledge of working across the full value chain of a financial institution.
- Experience from the banking and pricing domains is beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate with business to develop a well-planned roadmap.
- Responsibility for squad tasks and readiness to lead.
- Ability to switch between a high-level and detail-oriented perspective, maintain a solution-focused approach, and effectively manage uncertainty and complexity.
- Comfortable asking questions and challenging requirements and solutions.
- Team player with a positive attitude and passion for implementation.
- Relevant professional development (IT, business, project management, or similar).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
