About The Role 

The Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team is responsible for driving the company’s short-term and long-term planning cycles, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure plans are aligned and executed upon. The team is also responsible for analyzing, tracking and challenging the performance of the business units in DFDS against their strategic ambitions, delivering analysis to Group and BU management, and highlighting performance gaps and potential improvement opportunities, as well as ensuring that actions are properly identified and implemented to close the gaps.

Tasks Will Vary In Nature, Both In Terms Of Content And Duration, Depending On Your Experience And Seniority, But You Will Among Other Be Expected To

  • Participate in the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Deep dive into financial and operational data to identify trends, explain variances, and offer actionable insights
  • Build and enhance complex financial models to support scenario planning and business decisions
  • Deliver high-impact reports and presentations to senior leadership
  • Support the business with sparring in connection to investment proposals
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for special projects as needed

The FP&A team supports the decision-making process by providing value-add analysis, financial management information, performance management reporting, and financial planning. You will work with all levels of the organization to meet our ambitious business targets and be continuously involved in improving our business and financial processes.

The position is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen.

About You

This role is suitable for both analysts looking to advance their careers and senior professionals seeking new challenges in a dynamic environment.

The position requires profound business and financial understanding, as well as analytical skills at a high level.

Furthermore, The Ideal Candidate Has

  • A Master's degree in Finance or Economics or equivalent
  • Min. 4 years of work experience from a similar position within FP&A and performance management, preferably combined with some commercial and/or operational exposure from relevant industries, thereby understanding the implicit trade-offs of complex business dilemmas
  • An analytical mind-set and a self-starter attitude, being able to seize opportunities and invite yourself to the table
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, being able to work with both management and employees in a global organization
  • Experience working in a challenging and changing environment, dealing with various tasks and deadlines at once

As a person, you are curious and collaborative by nature with a positive attitude towards challenges. You will continuously be involved in several different projects/tasks and engaged with many different stakeholders; thus, it is important that you can handle different priorities simultaneously while keeping an eye on details and delivering on time.

In addition, you enjoy challenging the status quo, can make complexities easy to understand in written and spoken English, and you thrive working in a team - and having fun while doing it.
