What You Will Do
- Overall responsibility for ensuring that our products shipped in the EMEA area comply with all applicable regulations under the mentorship of the Product Safety Compliance Director in the US.
- Execution of key compliance programs and initiatives to drive proactive and sustained compliance to meet business needs.
- Lead team projects in the area of core safety and risk analysis to ensure design-in safety and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct product safety compliance factory audits. Evaluated FMEAs, Control Plans and Work Instructions to verify safety compliance.
- Serve as an experienced regulatory compliance advisor and authority on key strategic and critical compliance issues.
- Lead problem-solving activities on critical product safety compliance investigations.
- Provide compliance expertise in the development of risk mitigation strategies in the product development cycle.
- Understand product and process risk profiles, proactively identifying and prioritizing risks. Partner with others to escalate critical risks to the appropriate level of management.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify critical safety compliance areas for improvements in the product to assure continuous improvement.
- A university degree in a technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in driving product safety and regulatory compliance.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the related fields of product safety and/or risk analysis compliance.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Demonstrated leader.
- Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to balance technical understanding of products and processes with a compliance perspective.
- Demonstrate strategic agility when facing difficult situations without a clear near-term path.
- Travel may be required up to 10% - 20% for project support, factory, customer site, and field visits.
- Working knowledge of English – written and verbal.
