Job Description
Are you ready to help drive the next steps of confidentiality engagement internally, with new business partners, and externally, by supporting the creation of new learning and training tools? Can you envision a role where your collaboration, innovation, and leadership protect creativity, and enhances the control of critical secrets across the LEGO Group?
Join us as the Partnering Director, Confidentiality Team—where your influence and communication skills will craft the future of protection in the LEGO Group!
Core Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Confidentiality Officer this role will play a crucial part in improving our confidentiality practices across the LEGO Group. Your responsibilities will include
Headed by the Confidentiality Officer, the Confidentiality Team is a dedicated team of 10 individuals that drive the direct protection of all critical, time-bound commercially sensitive information and assets.
The Confidentiality Team was set up to protect our Intellectual Properties (IP's), novelty launches and the LEGO brand. It is an important team because leaks, prior to product reveal, drive business risks that can disrupt marketing efforts and significantly reduce the “wow” for consumers. Confidentiality Leaks can also allow our copycats to get a head start on replicating our products and can potentially spoil time sensitive content being released by our IP Partners, which can damage critical commercial relationships.
Over the past three years we have made some great strides in setting up new business partnering roles and raising the excellence in reactive leak management, but we are extending our ambition to enhance our control of leaks and protect the LEGO Group beyond brick-based products.
The team is split into 2 key areas, the first is Leak Incident and Response, which takes responsibility for the day-to-day management, investigation, reporting and responses to both the LEGO business, and our key IP partners, when leaks occur.
The other side of the team, where this role would be sitting, drives partnering and engagement with all relevant internal teams who undertake secret / confidential projects or initiatives, within this we put additional focus on brick-based and digital areas. The team members in this area partner directly with Product Marketing and Development, Markets and Channels, Operations and other key business areas such as Corporate Communications. Through this partnering they also influence the processes and controls of all critical external partners (suppliers, customers). Importantly, the Partnering and Engagement side of the team also leads the development and delivery of important training programs and business communication/engagement.
Please note This is a position based in Billund, Denmark. Our flexible working model allows employees to work 2 days/week from home (3 days in the office). Relocation support is not offered for this role.
Do you have what it takes?
"This is an important business leadership role that will drive the future vision for Confidentiality communication, engagement and partnering across the LEGO Group.
As part of the Confidentiality Teams strategic direction setting, you will also strongly influence the way the LEGO Group protects new concepts, products and digital games throughout the development, make and sell phases. Additionally, you will support our business partners in the direct protection of all critical, time-bounded commercially sensitive information and assets!"
