The opportunity
At Candeno, we're building the leading platform for public employment services in Scandinavia. With a strong footprint in Denmark and growing traction in Norway and Sweden, we help thousands of people find their next dream job—faster and smarter.
As our new Chief Operating Officer, you'll be the operational backbone of the company. You'll work closely with the CEO and management team to ensure we scale sustainably, stay compliant, and continue building a company we're proud to work in.
You'll oversee finance, compliance, legal, and people/HR, ensuring our foundation remains solid as we continue to grow.
You will

You're comfortable taking ownership and making decisions - but also know when to ask, listen, and adapt. We are also looking for a candidate with:
- Solid hands-on experience with compliance - this is a must, as you'll be the go-to person for navigating GDPR, SKI agreements, and contract frameworks.
- A solid understanding of financial operations - you do not need to "own" the numbers. Still, you'll work closely with our Finance Manager to ensure budgets, forecasts, and reporting are aligned with strategy.
- A proactive mindset and a people-first leadership style
- Excellent communication skills in English and Danish.
Your team
You'll lead and collaborate closely with:
- Finance Manager
- People Coordinator
- RevOps
- Finance Specialist (Student Worker)
- Office Helpers
You'll report directly to our CEO and be a key part of the management team.
Your way to success
Within the first 3 months:
- Take complete ownership of compliance areas, including GDPR and SKI agreements
- Get a complete overview of our contracts, SLAs, and governance processes
- Support the board with key governance tasks like meeting materials and annual planning
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to understand budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting routines
- Begin monthly KPI reporting to management and the board
Within 6 months:
- Run all compliance and governance processes independently and proactively
- Ensure our contract and CRM systems are running smoothly and support scale
- Lead financial planning processes together with the Finance Manager
- Spot and flag financial or operational risks early - and act on them
- Deliver transparent, consistent performance reporting (KPI, budget, board materials)
- Actively contribute to strengthening our people strategy and culture-building initiatives
- Ensure internal IT and admin systems across finance, HR, and payroll are streamlined and future-proof
