Quantitative Analyst - Macro Trading
InCommodities

Do you have a solid quantitative toolbox and a passion for understanding how data can shape markets? Would you like to explore the fascinating intersection of econometrics, macroeconomics, and energy trading in a high-impact role?
We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join our Macro Trading team at InCommodities Europe – someone who is eager to learn, driven by curiosity, and ready to grow into a role where quantitative thinking meets real-world trading. Could this be you?
Be part of something new – and bold
In our Macro Trading team, we rethink how macroeconomic data, and econometric modelling can drive energy trading decisions. We are building our team like a start-up – high autonomy, low bureaucracy, lots of responsibility – but with the backing of a mature, successful company.
This is a rare opportunity to join us at an early stage and help shape our quantitative foundation for trading across the power, gas, and emissions markets.
What you will work on
- Apply econometric and statistical methods to analyze and forecast key macro and market variables.
- Build and improve models that help inform and guide trading decisions.
- Collaborate closely with analysts, quants, and traders to explore market dynamics and translate insights into action.
- Contribute to the development of a robust macroeconomic framework that supports both discretionary and systematic strategies.
Who you are
- You have, or are close to completing, a master’s degree in economics, finance, statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Previous work experience in a relevant position is a plus but not required.
- You are passionate about econometrics, data modelling, and real-world applications of economic theory.
- You are curious and proactive, eager to understand how markets work and how to quantify them.
- You can code – ideally in Python – and enjoy working with data.
- You are not afraid to ask questions, test ideas, and iterate.
What you can expect from us
- A fast-learning environment where theory meets trading floor – and where you will see your work matter.
- Flexibility, freedom, and the opportunity to grow quickly into areas that match your skills and interests.
- A culture that values honesty, transparency, and rethinking the way things are done.
- An informal and flat organization with no dress codes, no micromanagement, and no corporate nonsense.
- Regular social events, fun traditions, and the chance to work with some of the smartest and most ambitious people in the industry.
