About The Role

Maersk Cadet & recruitment office in Svendborg is looking for a Student Assistant.

You will be joining a team of dedicated colleagues placed in Svendborg who responsible for recruitment and administration of about 400 marine cadets enrolled with the education programs in Denmark. We offer a flexible and informal environment where we value teamwork, humbleness, flexibility, and constant care. Further to own key responsibilities you will take part in the daily work answering phones and assisting cadets who visit the office. For the right person it is possible to enlarge the responsibility and variety of tasks over time. We expect you to work up 10-15 hours per week and we are flexible regarding how you can distribute your hours throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Registration of applicants in systems
  • Update of cadet’s profile and pictures in personal system
  • Scanning of documents to personal files
  • Create profiles and follow up on cadet’s progress in web course system
  • Issuance of rebate cards
  • Control and update various cadet lists (courses, wishes for sea time, date of readiness etc.)
  • Assist general practical tasks in the office
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks & odd jobs

What We’re Looking For

  • Meticulous, thorough, detail–oriented, careful, and diligent.
  • Service minded, responsible, committed, reliable and a self-starter.
  • Always in a good mood, flexible and has a high level of energy.
  • Communicate fluently in verbal and written English and Danish.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs
  • Currently studying a higher education leaving excess time for 10-15 hours of work per week – at least for minimum 1.5 years.
  • Hold a driver license
