Job Description
At the Plate Heat Exchanger business unit , we design and manufacture high-performance brazed and gasketed plate heat exchangers, delivering efficient thermal solutions for HVAC, industrial, marine, and energy applications worldwide.
The Director, Head of Factory Operations, Europe will oversee the operations of multiple production and assembly sites, managing a workforce of nearly 100 salaried and over 300 hourly employees
This role is crucial in ensuring competence development within teams, fostering a strong team culture aligned with Danfoss values, driving delivery performance improvements for configure-to-order and project orders, and promoting a performance and continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization
The successful candidate will also be responsible for the strategic footprint development for factory operations in Europe and driving technology development in alignment with the global manufacturing strategy
The position reports to Head of Global Supply Chain and Operations.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Team Culture: Drive team culture aligned with Danfoss values, implement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention. Encourage collaboration, open communication, and mutual respect among team members.

- Delivery Performance: Establish strong monitoring systems and drive significant improvements in delivery performance metrics. Ensure reliable customer project execution in the factories.
- Production Performance: Lead and optimize manufacturing operations across multiple sites to ensure consistent, high-quality, and cost-effective output. Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards while fostering a data-driven culture of accountability and operational excellence. Drive key performance indicators such as productivity, cost efficiency, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by applying lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Standardize technologies in alignment with global manufacturing teams and implement quality excellence programs.
- Footprint Strategy and Development: Lead strategic footprint development initiatives in Europe. Drive continued footprint developments globally to secure the most competitive global flows and setups.
- SAP Optimization / No-Touch Initiatives: Ensure effective utilization of SAP systems for operational efficiency. Drive automation and process improvements to minimize manual interventions. Implement innovative solutions to streamline operations.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in factory operations management, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP systems and their application in manufacturing.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to drive change and implement process improvements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and international settings.
