Job Description Summary
The Product Sustaining Engineer - Install Base, is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of commercially available ultrasound scanner systems, as well as end-of-life management. This role involves a blend of technical and theoretical engineering skills, troubleshooting, documentation work, testing and project coordination to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires our new employee to be physically present at our headquarters in Herlev, Denmark

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead activities related to maintaining marketed devices, including e.g. troubleshooting, testing, inspection, documentation, and adherence to safety standards.
- Lead relevant non-conformances related to the engineering area
- Support tasks related to parts/material changes, compliance projects, and end-of-life management.
- Support investigations and root cause analysis of product and production non-conformances. Propose and implement corrective actions to address product issues.
- Support to RA for registration activities.
- Evaluate and update design/risk documents, product specifications, and labels.
- Maintain designs for existing products using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Improve existing products to enhance performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant medical device standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Experience in the medical device industry preferred
- Experience with other regulated industry.
- Experience with generating/changing design/risk documentation, product specifications, and labels.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Possibly with LEAN and Six Sigma training/experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with use of software such as e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe and document/change control systems.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and process improvement methodologies.
