You will have a clear and consistent communication with your Store Manager through regular check-ins and weekly meetings. Together, we’ll align on priorities, especially around event planning at Magasin, to ensure smooth execution and strong results.
Job Summary
Position title: Assistant Store Manager
Reports to: Store Manager
As an Assistant Store Manager, you are responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store, ensuring the highest performance possible in all areas within the operation. Jointly you will be responsible for adhering to market-specific legal requirements, company policies, cleaning, and compliance structures. You are expected to have a full overview of the store and lead your team members when your Store Manager is not present ensuring efficient workflows, great guest experiences, and high-quality products.
Your overall success in this position depends on the degree to which you are able to lead and develop a highly engaged team, where all operational conceptual in-store requirements are followed in order to deliver best-in-class guest experiences turning regular customers into beloved returning guests.
Key Responsibilities
Value-Based Leadership: Effectively assist in leading team members in alignment with company Manifest and operational principles.
Employee Engagement: Assist in the development, training, and motivation of your team through feedback and in-store training ensuring focus on maintaining and improving the store’s employee engagement level.
Guest Experience: Ensure a guest-first approach, building strong guest relations through your local community in accordance with our brand behavior principles and hereby increase overall guest loyalty.
Operational Requirements: Contribute to maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy working environment by enforcing hygiene, cleaning, health, and safety standards while ensuring brand and local standards are maintained as per guidelines.
Shift Planning: Secure registration of illness in accordance with company standards when the Store Manager is off shift.
Stock Handling: Assist in securing stock handling, counting, and ordering to ensure optimal inventory and hereby the cost of goods sold is not exceeding the specified monthly target.
Performance Management: Accountable for assisting in building sales and optimizing store profit to achieve company-defined financial and non-financial KPIs.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Operational Requirements: Hygiene standard, pest and fire safety control, and overall 4-wall compliance.
Employee Engagement: Assist in securing an employee engagement score is minimum at the True Benchmark level.
Guest Experience: Returning guests, app conversions, complaints, waiting time, product availability, store audits.
Store Performance: Sales target, 4-wall EBITDA, waste, salary cost, and productivity.
