Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners is looking for a Global Head of Press and Media Relations responsible for enhancing and protecting its global reputation through proactive and responsive media engagement and strategies. The ideal candidate has 5-10 years’ experience working with media relations and communications leadership, preferably from the financial industry, an energy developer or similar. Specific knowledge of the infrastructure and energy investment industry as well as demonstrated financial communication experience will be an advantage.
The team
You will become part of CIP’s Global Public Affairs, Communication and Marketing team – and working out of CIP’s headquarter in Copenhagen. You will join a highly motivated group of colleagues with numerous touchpoints across the global CIP organization, offices and fund strategies.
The Global Public Affairs, Communication and Marketing (PACM) team is overall responsible for CIP’s global Public Affairs approach and manages the external positioning and branding of CIP as well as internal communication activities. The role will be organizationally anchored in the Communication and Marketing team with essential touchpoints to the Public Affairs team - and work closely with Investor Relations and other CIP teams.
The role
You will be responsible for overseeing the media relations strategy for CIP and for developing and executing an integrated media relations strategy that aligns with the organization’s business and reputational priorities. You will shape and maintain the company’s positioning on key industry themes and issues – and serve as a primary local and global media contact. You will support the development of thought leadership content and media opportunities and lead the planning and execution of crisis communication responses.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior management and together with your colleagues in the Communications and Marketing team you will contribute to the planning and execution of a long range of communications products, e.g. speeches, podcasts, digital content, press releases, videos, Town Halls etc.
Key responsibilities include:
CIP is looking for you who have a university degree or background in communications or journalism and 5-10 years relevant work experience with experience from corporate communications and media relations in the private sector; ideally in the financial or energy industry.

- Serve as primary point of contact for Danish and international media outlets and researchers – and conduct background talks, briefing and interviews with Danish and international media outlets, journalists, and editors.
- Deliver counsel to and advise with Senior Management on media strategy and appearances as well as issues management
- Advise and assist CIP’s projects on project communication, issues management, PR and branding
- Serve as liaison to CIPs Investor Relations team around the media strategy for all fund strategies
- Contribute to the planning and execution of a long range of communications products, e.g. speeches, podcasts, digital content, press releases, videos, Town Halls etc.
CIP is looking for you who have a university degree or background in communications or journalism and 5-10 years relevant work experience with experience from corporate communications and media relations in the private sector; ideally in the financial or energy industry.
Key qualifications:
- Experience with issue management and crisis communication and familiarity with senior management exposure and advisory
- Experience with media outreach and has a broad network of journalists and editors from Danish and/or international financial outlets
- Proficient writing skills and extensive experience with text production, e.g. press releases, speeches, editorials, internal copy etc.
- Proficiency in English and Danish (both written and spoken)
