Job Description
Join us within the Digital Excellence, where you will pioneer digital transformation and system connectivity in layer 2 (ISA95) within the Power Solutions segment. Your projects will range from minor adjustments and data analysis to strategic digital installations on a global scale. You'll be at the forefront, managing and developing digital solutions from inception to completion. This role requires adept planning, resource allocation from the business, and seamless coordination across multiple teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. As a leader and mentor, you'll guide project teams and stakeholders through the project lifecycle, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving. Your focus will be on Digitalization and Data analytics of shopfloor processes. You will be the key resource in advising, developing and integrate standardization within shopfloor monitoring from machinery to reporting on dashboards

Collaborate closely with the PS MFG IT team to understand usage and maintenance requirements from legacy systems, providing insights into future needs and opportunities to develop and integrate unified solutions and systems based on ISA95 standards. This role ensures close collaboration between business needs, MFG IT solutions, and compliance with future development led by the System and Solution Architect in the team

The ideal candidate will explore and test new technologies (such as AI) to optimize and automate ongoing projects. As the team structure is new, bringing systems/shopfloor knowledge and perspectives to the team is crucial. Despite experience and influence from previous implementations, creating a future roadmap is essential to deliver the best possible value for PS, given the significant differences in Operations, Products, and Systems within the segment You will execute project leadership with senior management and plant stakeholders, particularly during development, pilot testing, and subsequent integration of end-to-end systems. Additionally, you'll share knowledge across the MFG IT team by conducting training and development for colleagues. Reporting directly to the Head of MFG Systems and Services, you'll provide insights, inputs, and sparring on MES and middleware development in Power Solutions. This role offers the potential to become a future people manager, as requests for Digital Shopfloor solutions are increasing. Travel days are estimated to be 50-60 days per year.

Job Responsibilities
This role involves interacting with multiple plants, divisions, and segment stakeholders, making strong relationship-building and communication skills with different management levels essential. We seek a candidate with a can-do attitude, efficiency, and innovation to execute the strategy, delivering best-in-class service and execution to our customers. Significant experience in MES and middleware systems and architecture is required for success.

The successful applicant will have 4 to 7 years of experience in complex IT applications management and manufacturing processes, with advanced skills in applications management, delivery, and support. The focus is on manufacturing applications and services as outlined in the current state.

  • MES and monitoring systems; Siemens OP Center (preferred), SIT, Guide-online, Ignition, Critical Manufacturing, custom developed MES solutions by plant, Bartender, CIMCO, Factbird etc. + the connectivity possibilities to SAP
  • Custom applications support(developing/testing) and functionality implementation & automation
    • PM skills and project execution capabilities
Background & Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing Technology, Information Management or equivalent
  • Proven track record of technology and system implementations into Operations
  • 5+ years of delivery experience, business development in industrial practice and development of MES solutions
  • Solid knowledge in SQL, MES and custom code
  • Understands and conversant in the Manufacturing and Products Industry issues, business process models and relevant digital technologies
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in manufacturing execution systems, lean manufacturing, digital plants, computer-integrated manufacturing, manufacturing operations management
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a global team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English.
