The opportunity

Join our Commercial team at Abacus Medicine to lead the launch and growth of our portfolio in the cardiovascular surgical techniques space across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams – sales, marketing, medical affairs, and operations – to ensure hospitals and healthcare professionals have access to life-saving solutions.

As Regional Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for strategic account management, stakeholder engagement, and market expansion in the DACH region.

You’ll have real ownership of your region and the freedom to shape your market approach with entrepreneurial drive.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Achieving or exceeding sales targets across the DACH region
  • Developing and executing strategic account plans
  • Building relationships with KOLs, perfusionists, and hospital administrators
  • Delivering impactful presentations and training sessions
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining CRM data and reporting on performance

We would like you to become the go-to expert for our cardioplegia portfolio in the DACH region, demonstrating deep knowledge of the market and product landscape.

We expect you to build strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders in cardiovascular surgical techniques, acting as a reliable and respected partner.

Collaboration is key to success in this role, and you will work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless and customer-focused experience across all touchpoints. We also expect you to think strategically and execute with precision to drive market penetration and deliver results.

What We Need You To Have

We’re seeking someone with a solid academic background and proven success in healthcare sales. You’re confident working in complex healthcare environments and skilled at building clinical relationships.

Specifically, You Bring

  • A degree in a scientific or business field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy)
  • Sales experience in pharma, MedTech, or healthcare
  • Ideally, experience in cardiovascular or surgical environments
  • Knowledge of the healthcare systems in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
  • Fluency in German and proficiency in English
  • Strong communication, stakeholder, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with cardioplegia or cardiovascular surgical techniques is a plus
