Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) – a company working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for Sr. Business Controller to join our Business Finance team in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The role
As our new Senior Business Controller, you will be part of the Business Finance team responsible for understanding the fund and investment structures and ensuring that the investment structures are operated in terms of contribution and distributions (cash-flows to/from funds/projects) in a cross-border perspective incl. the currency risk perspective. Accordingly, you will be in charge of the investment structures and the implementation and operation of processes around the structures.

Responsibilities will further consist of:
The role involves a high level of complexity and is centered around activities related to the investments from the funds’ perspective (not the investment entity level perspective), including:

  • Controlling investments on an ongoing basis, assisting other teams on the financial aspect of the investments
  • Quarterly closing process, including cost controlling, contributions/distributions from investments, loans, and interests regarding the investments
  • Ensuring correct reporting of cash flows to and from projects liaising several data users in CIP
  • Cooperation with Fund Controlling, ensuring correct handling of investments on all levels
  • Supporting relevant stakeholders with contribution/distribution packages
  • When setting up new funds, ensure the transfer of existing projects to new funds
  • Assisting the Accounting Team to ensure correct booking and registrations of reinvestments
  • Collaborating with other Finance teams on the annual close and deliverables to the auditors
  • Supporting the regional business finance teams in the closing process around new investments, divestments, restructurings, etc.
  • Participating in business finance projects like optimizations, processes, and excellent work.

Main Interfaces/stakeholders:
  • Providing the Investment team, Fund Performance, and FP&A with cash data and support for investments and divestments
  • Supporting CISC with contributions/distribution packages
  • Collaborating with Fund Accounting and Fund Controlling & Reporting when closing the books and reporting to investors.

You
As our new senior business Controller (Senior Associate level), you have 5-8 years of relevant experience and a degree in Finance or other relevant fields. You have a background in auditing, controlling, or business finance and currently hold a position within Business Controlling/Business Finance, Finance Business Partner position, or similar. Moreover, you are motivated by working in a highly complex and professional organization where your advanced analytical skills and proactive mindset allow you to deliver high quality within the deadline.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Solid experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to work in an international, efficient, and highly varied environment
  • Fluency in verbal and written English and excellent communication skills.
