Interested in contributing to Danske Bank’s capital strategy? Join our Capital Exposure Management team, where your expertise will help with the calculation and reporting of the bank's Risk Exposure Amount (REA), MREL, capital distribution and more, while monitoring capital requirements.

Who are we?

The Capital Exposure Management team is responsible for calculating and reporting the bank's REA, MREL and other parameters as well as internal capital distribution, while continuously monitoring capital needs. Working with us means applying your knowledge of capital to integrate it into regulations and bank processes. Capital is crucial to the bank’s profitability, and we work to balance regulatory and commercial priorities.

You'll be part of a skilled and diverse team of 16 professionals providing insights on the link between Danske Bank’s capital structure and financial performance. This is essential in helping Danske Bank reach its strategic goals and prepare for the future. Our team includes colleagues based in Lithuania, Sweden and Denmark.

About The Role

We seek an experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of credit risk models, capital theory and practice, process optimisation and regulatory knowledge. In this role, you will provide valuable insights into capital regulations and processes. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Running and optimising monthly analytical processes and performing ad hoc analyses
  • Collaborating with a diverse team to manage monthly capital reporting
  • Adapting processes to meet new regulations
  • Monitoring capital and risk exposures, providing insights to business units and senior management
  • Automating processes using tools such as SQL and Python
  • Offering innovative solutions and guidance

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced professional with 5-10 years in financial institutions, capital processes, financial regulations or similar fields. Skills like proactivity and communication are crucial, as is the ability to lead and collaborate within the team. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience from working with financial institutions and regulatory dialogue externally and internally
  • Proven skills in debugging and creating Python code
  • A higher education degree in programming, finance, science, mathematics or a related field
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A proactive approach and confidence in decision-making
  • Competent English skills

Your experience may lead to different levels of seniority in the role, recognising your potential and expertise.
