Do you want to join a global leader in Private Equity and Renewable Energy Infrastructure investments? If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is the place for you. We are currently looking for a motivated Manager to join our Strategy Team in CIP, based in our headquarters in Copenhagen.
Strategic Investments
You will join the CIP Strategy Team, a small team in CIP that follows an entrepreneurial and goal-oriented approach to defining and delivering on CIPs 2030 strategy. The Strategy Team works at the intersection between private equity and renewable energy. As part of the team your focus will be on formulating and orchestrating the execution of CIP’s balance sheet investment strategy at the CIP Holding level. This is a newly formed focus area, however critical in supporting CIP to reach EUR +100bn in raised funds by 2030 – and hence address the climate emergency at a scale that truly matters.
The role
As our new Manager in Strategic Investments, you will be responsible for optimizing the balance sheet capital allocation to create strategic value for CIP and its owners. This is an investment-focused role which requires highly strategic thinking, and you will work closely with CIPs responsible Partner, Daniel Lerup, as well as cooperate with several teams within CIP. You will work in a highly driven environment, consisting of talented colleagues, all with experience and proven track records from investment banking, private equity or strategy consulting.

We are looking for a driven and collaborative individual holding a relevant degree within finance, economics, business, or other related fields, and a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting with exposure to investment/portfolio mgmt. - Leading and managing strategic CIP HoldCo investments/projects into: CIP-managed funds, affiliated GPs, and new CIP companies
- Developing and refining the CIP HoldCo investment strategy, including capital allocation frameworks and long-term balance sheet planning
- Driving identification and process of tactical investment allocation decisions, including optimizing investments and divestments to maximize CIP HoldCo value
- Conducting investment analysis, valuation, and due diligence on new opportunities
- Driving structured problem-solving and developing clear, compelling presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across finance, legal and investment teams to execute transactions and strategic initiatives
- Providing ad hoc support to the relevant partners, including deep dives, board material preparation, and special initiatives

- Strong financial acumen with valuation and investment analysis skills, ideally with a track record with deal sourcing, due diligence, transaction structuring, and post-investment value creation
- Experience with fund structures, GP/LP dynamics and infrastructure/renewables is a strong plus (not a requirement)
- Proven project leadership skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in creating high-quality PowerPoint presentations
- Self-starter with a structured approach, high attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
