The purpose of the Commercial Manager is to develop and executing commercial strategies to ensure sustainable growth and long-term success for Aspen’s portfolio in country/ region (‘The Territory’)

The ideal job holder will be able to:

  • Report to Head of Nordics Commercial on the current commercial strategy and implement growth strategies that boost financial success
  • Support various teams of the business to achieve the commercial targets set for the Territory and the Nordic Region, keeping in mind KPIs and ROIs
  • Support Marketing & Business Development on marketing & BD initiatives to improve the commercial success of the business
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • KOL management in relevant therapeutic areas
  • Provide advice on contract and tender opportunities for Aspen’s portfolio
  • Support tenders and retail sales in effective collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders (including pharmacy chains/groups, HCPs, tender authorities) in line with the need to support Aspen´s strategy and products
  • Manage Aspen’s national pricing and reimbursement negotiations
  • Targeting/segmentation/prioritization of stakeholders and accounts leading to a plan of action for payers/accounts and key prescribers Build advocacy for Aspen portfolio by ‘promotion’ of the added value from Aspen products based on commercial plan/data/materials.
  • Negotiate with customers and suppliers to maximise the ROI of the company
  • Develop and foster strong and professional relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Coordinate with the Commercial Team and give regular updates on the progress of various projects
  • Maintain reports and records of sales development
  • Manage Commercial risks and devise strategies to overcome them
  • Assess opportunities for inorganic growth locally or per region
  • Acquaintance with business development or (digital) sales & marketing
  • Portray strong leadership skills, with the ability to think strategically
  • Familiarity with project management
  • Have a robust understanding of the full value chain within health care, sales, access environment and supply in the territory
  • Knowledge about Danish pharmaceutical market (Rx and OTC) and preferable also basic knowledge about Danish MedTech market and sales
  • Ability to commercially plan and prioritise time effectively
  • Have a solid sense of business acumen, with strong selling and negotiating skills.
  • Understanding of key account management skills i.e. an understanding of local access mindset - ability to process hurdles and how to deal with them, OTC sales management, and targeting and segmentation
  • Be analytical, understand and present data (clinical, financial, sales and other)
  • To continuously assess profitability/effectiveness of portfolio, commercial efforts and opportunities
  • To promote continuous business development
  • Highest level education such as BSc, MSc or PhD in business management, marketing, administration, or a related field
  • 7+ years in a commercial or pharmaceutical sales role.
  • Preferably 3+ years selling experience.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and presentation skills in English (and possibly a Nordic language).
  • Fluent/native speaking in Danish (must speak and write in Danish fluently)
  • Previous experience within a management role or within administration of high autonomy.
  • Field access experience incl. in-market sales, tenders and working with expert groups/advisory boards and guidelines
