Secure Our Digital Future - Lead with Vision
At COWI, we are committed to creating a sustainable and liveable world. To ensure our digital environment supports this mission, we are looking for a Group CISO to join our team. The Information Security Team works in partnership with individuals across Group IT, HR, Legal, Facility Management, and all Business Lines to ensure a holistic and cohesive strategy for security.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Enterprise Risk & Strategy: Develop risk management tools and policies, facilitate leadership workshops, and define COWI’s security strategy aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, and CMMC frameworks.
- Leadership Reporting: Present quarterly updates to Senior Leadership, the Audit Committee, and Board on risk mitigation, emerging threats, and global cybersecurity trends.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with customers and Business Lines to address security concerns, building trust in COWI’s data protection practices.
- Team & Governance: Lead a global team of specialists, oversee compliance policies/audits, and promote professional growth through training and performance reviews..
- Security Roadmap Delivery: Partner with stakeholders to execute and refine the strategic security roadmap, ensuring alignment with budgets, timelines, and performance metrics.
- ISMS Excellence: Maintain and enhance the Information Security Management System (ISMS) per ISO 27001, facilitating continuous improvement and staff awareness.
- Cross-functional Integration: Collaborate with Group IT, HR, Legal, and Business Lines to embed security into operations while focusing on strategic initiatives (technical IT operations remain with Group IT).
Note: This role focuses on strategic security initiatives and risk management; technical IT security operations are managed separately by Group IT.

On top of that, you will have:
- Demonstrated skill in conveying information security concepts to a variety of global audiences.
- Experience managing global resources, including people, processes, and vendor negotiations.
- Experience in guiding teams, making strategic presentations, and developing creative security approaches.
- Sound knowledge of business management and information security risk management.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or ESL, and experience with GDPR compliance.
- Up-to-date knowledge of methodologies and trends in business and IT.
