European Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Transaction Manager to lead the financial transactions for our innovative renewable energy projects globally.

Your new team
You will be part of our M&A and Project Financing team in our Headquarter in Søborg, Copenhagen. We are responsible for our project financing and divestment of renewable energy projects globally. We lead all project and portfolio divestments and partnerships managing the transaction from origination all the way to execution. The department is part of the newly established CCO organization with a holistic and strategic focus on European Energy’s sales activities.
How You Will Create An Impact
As our new Senior Transaction Manager, Project Finance, you will take ownership of complex financial transactions, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to secure optimal financing arrangements.
This is a strategic, hands-on role that requires exceptional leadership, negotiation, teamwork, and relationship management skills. As part of our Project Finance team, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the future of energy.

Key Responsibilities
- You will lead all aspects of structuring, negotiating, and closing non-recourse, project finance deals, including term sheet development, due diligence, and final documentation.
- You will manage relationships with banks, institutional investors, and other financing partners, ensuring alignment with European Energy's financial strategy.
- You will develop and implement tailored financing structures for renewable energy and power-to-x projects, optimizing cost, risk, and capital efficiency.
- You will work closely with internal teams such as legal, technical, and project development teams to ensure that projects and project documents are structured with "bankable" risk allocation, enabling smooth financing processes.
- You will manage the entire transaction process, including drafting scopes of work for advisors and managing advisor engagements to maintain high-quality outcomes.
- You will lead the commercial review and negotiation of all transaction documentation and oversee transaction closings.
- You will guide and quality-assure the work of Associates and Analysts working on these transactions.
- You have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project finance within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
- You have a proven track record in structuring and closing non-recourse financial transactions, with exposure to both debt and equity financing.
- You possess strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with relevant financial partners and institutions.
- You have an advanced understanding of financial modeling, credit analysis, and risk assessment.
- You have experience with and a strong understanding of renewable power markets and market dynamics.
You are willing to travel quarterly to meet with stakeholders across Europe.
