About the Group and team:

At Danske Bank, we are on a journey to transform how we work with data. Under the Forward 28 Strategy, we want to empower colleagues across the Group to make the most of the data they own. This will see a shift towards a federated data strategy, which is supported by the concept of data products.

The Data Product Centre of Excellence mission is to facilitate increased adoption of data products across Danske Bank. We champion applying the product mindset to data, to ensure that the data products created across the Group are of a high quality, valuable to meet strategic/customer needs and reusable.

Within the Data Product CoE, the Data Product Portfolio cluster (which this role is part of) is a highly strategic and customer centric team, working across a breadth of data product priorities. These range from supporting engagement and discovery of new data products with our business partners, establishing the optimal product governance and operating model for data products across the Group and supporting strategic decision making that will increase adoption of data product concepts. The types of challenges this team will be working on in the near future include:

  • Establishing the approach and playbook for data product discovery at Danske Bank
  • Driving up demand for the creation of valuable data products across the Group through Business Unit engagement and discovery workshops
  • Conceptualising what a data product marketplace could look like

About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Data Product Portfolio Analyst with a strong background in product management, product discovery, customer centric design and use case development. You will come with a strong, customer centric tool box that can be applied to problems that help illuminate value and new opportunities for our stakeholders with data products. You have a passion for innovation and showcasing the art of possible through sound strategy, product management and design thinking principles.

While most work will be supporting engagement and adoption of valuable data products through discovery with stakeholders, you will also be expected to support some of the broader strategic and portfolio management initiatives which include establishing data product portfolio governance, value tracking and various activities to continuously improve the data product operating model.

Prior comfort with data products and domain knowledge of banking would be looked upon favourably.

The right candidate for this position should thrive in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, be proactive and enjoy both planned and ad-hoc tasks. There will be plenty of opportunities to work cross-functionally across the Group and influence thinking on data products. You will start working closely with some more senior members of the team, but will be empowered to drive and manage tasks to deliver great results overtime.

Job Responsibilities:

Example responsibilities of the role include:

  • Support development of the data product development playbook, approach and templates
  • Identify opportunities across the data product portfolio to create data products or optimise the current portfolio.
  • Drive and run data product discovery workshops with a diverse range of stakeholders across the Group
  • Help assign business and customer value to data products being conceptualised to ensure the data products have a market are reusable and valuable
  • Support change management and adoption efforts, including supporting creation of metrics and KPIs for data products developed
  • Support governance and reporting efforts of the data product portfolio
  • Be involved and drive key workstreams of strategic issues of importance for data products at Danske Bank e.g. supporting the conceptualisation of a data product marketplace.

Expected qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science or a related field.
  • Previous experience in financial industry or banking sector is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a product management, strategy or transformation role.
  • Demonstrable experience in running product discovery with stakeholders to identify opportunities

Skills Required:

  • Experience applying concepts like, but not limited to, hypothesis-led problem solving, design thinking etc. to problem solving
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive projects based on data insights.
  • Comfort tailoring and running workshops with cross-functional stakeholders to identify innovation opportunities.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages used in Danske Bank locations is a plus.
  • Experience developing and managing KPIs that track value creation and adoption.
  • Sound project management skills and the ability to work and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using tools and technologies relevant to product lifecycle management. Includes proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and various agile tools.

Location:

This position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark with a hybrid working model allowing a blend of office and remote work.
