As a Category Specialist for Indirect & Technical Procurement, you will be responsible for driving sourcing initiatives and supporting category strategy implementation across various indirect spend areas at our Copenhagen manufacturing site. You will collaborate closely with Category Managers and stakeholders to ensure effective and compliant procurement that delivers value to the organization.

“We’re looking for someone who can bring structure, initiative, and energy into our sourcing projects. The role offers great exposure across our business, and you'll have a real opportunity to shape how we work with our suppliers and partners within indirect spend, to support our operations.” — Guillermo Gimeno, Chief Procurement Officer

Your new team
You will be part of our Global Procurement team, working alongside skilled and motivated colleagues who share a strong commitment to operational excellence. Our procurement function is in a period of transformation, and this is a great opportunity to help shape our processes while gaining experience in a global, purpose-driven company. You will have colleagues in both Copenhagen and Budapest.

Your Role And Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to lead sourcing projects and deliver value across diverse indirect categories including facility management, freight services, IT, and more. Your efforts will ensure we have the right supplier partnerships in place to support Xellia’s strategic goals and day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead sourcing projects and tender activities for indirect and technical categories below $100,000
  • Support Category Managers with category strategy development and implementation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand procurement needs and priorities
  • Negotiate and implement contracts with new and existing suppliers
  • Initiate and drive local cost-saving and efficiency projects
  • Ensure reporting of savings and procurement activities is timely and accurate
  • Maintain a strong focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and operational performance (OTIF).

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a proactive and service-minded procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You bring energy, structure, and a hands-on approach to sourcing and stakeholder collaboration. Your ability to manage projects independently and drive measurable results makes you a valuable partner across the organization.

You likely bring:

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree (e.g. Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering)
  • 2–3 years of procurement experience in a similar role, ideally within a mid-to-large international company
  • Experience with indirect categories such as freight, IT, facility management, and travel services
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Fluency in both Danish and English (spoken and written).

Why join Xellia?
At Xellia, you’ll join a collaborative and friendly team in a stable, international company with a strong purpose. We offer a dynamic, multinational working environment where you’ll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact.

Please apply with your CV no later than June 8. We will be reviewing applications and interviewing candidates on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
