Integrated Commercial Planning Director
Would you like to join an international team with high ambitions in a fast-paced environment that values having fun whilst creating value? Then we have a challenging role focusing on improving our commercial planning processes in our markets. You will be working across our regions in Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Asia, and be part of our global Value Management team.
We are stepping up our efforts within integrated commercial planning, focusing on improving our capabilities to translate our category strategy all the way to customer execution.
All markets today have processes in place at different maturity levels. Going forward, we need to continuously optimise and ensure the right annual rhythms, enabling high-quality decision-making. As we develop our capabilities, we want to improve these processes, governance models, and competencies. Also, the role will be focusing on working closely together with sales in developing what we call “next level Key Account Management (KAM)”, which is closely linked to our commercial planning.
You will play a pivotal role in enabling seamless planning and execution across the business and functions, enabling clarity on deliverables and interdependencies.
The role is part of a fun, ambitious and dynamic international team focusing on implementing advanced capabilities. As a result, you will gain a great level of exposure to different functions, markets, and stakeholders as well as solid knowledge in ensuring the transformation of the strategy into execution.
What You’ll Be Doing
The role is designed to support our Value Management teams and markets in improving processes and execution via Sales. You will be responsible for two main areas:
- Defining and designing commercial processes for different market archetypes (one size does not fit all) and updating/embedding into market operating models
- Designing the next level of KAM capabilities, focusing on joint category value creation with customers
- Ensure implementation and embedment in markets, the success is not the design or templates, but ensuring that markets are adopting and “living” the new ways of working
- Having a flexible mindset to ensure processes and programmes are standardised, but at the same time, working in different market landscapes
- Working closely with teams in Group functions, regions, and markets
- Codify and lead adoption of the new global standardised processes and framework, taking integrated commercial planning capabilities to the next level, with the help of external perspectives
- Being a custodian for joint category value creation ensures Sales/KAM are living the mindset via embedment in markets
- Constantly staying up-to-date on best-in-class joint category value creation (joint business planning) and pushing “what great looks like” in a Carlsberg context
- Supporting and driving the mindset of “data-driven decision” making with a long-term perspective, informing category strategies in markets (5-10 years perspective)
- Engage with functions, markets, and key stakeholders to constantly drive improvements
- Provide ad-hoc support and troubleshooting to the markets where needed (their embedment of the processes, data and good practice sharing).
The role engages with all markets, and you should expect to travel to the markets where we are implementing our programmes, with an estimated 40-60 travel days a year. This position reports to the VP Value Management Group Central Office in Copenhagen.
What We’re Looking For
- 5-8 years of experience in FMCG/ CPG Commercial roles
- Experience with Sales, consultancy, process governance and project management is an advantage
- Experience with project management at different levels of the organisation
- Good level of business acumen
- Experience in change management with a proven track record, including the embedment of processes and changing ways of working
- Self and result-driven, highly organized, detail-oriented and must have aptitude for solving
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player who can work in tight timelines and deliver in complex multi-level corporations.
- Advanced English level, both written and spoken.
