Senior Product Designer
Kin AI

Kin is growing. We're building a product that turns powerful, privacy-first AI into something human, helpful, and long-term. That’s where you come in.
We're on the lookout for a product designer to determine the aesthetics, usability, and behavior of Kin—from initial interactions to everyday assurance. You’ll help define Kin’s interface, personality, and product experience. If you think design builds clarity, engagement, and trust -- we should talk.
You'll work closely with researchers, engineers, and product leads to turn messy ideas and raw data into experiences people want to return to.
We need someone who deeply understands activation psychology and can design a welcoming, rewarding first-use experience that sticks. That means you know how to guide users, build trust fast, and create habits that last.
Also: the design process is changing. Are you motivated by faster feedback loops, shrinking gaps between idea and code, and the rise of AI-native patterns? Then you’ll fit right in.
We don’t expect perfection—but these are the essentials:
- 5+ years of product design experience
- Experienced in mobile-first UI/UX, especially consumer apps
- Demonstrated experience crafting onboarding and first-use flows that appear clear, emotional, and valuable
- You pay attention to the details—how things appear, operate, and resonate
- You’re comfortable giving and receiving feedback often (we’re pre-PMF) and confident in making the final decision in your area of ownership
- “Strong opinions, loosely held” works for us as you’ll need to be decisive yet open-minded
- You’re mindful of language, tone, and how copy shapes UX
- Comfortable prototyping fast and balancing speed with craft
- Built or contributed to scalable design systems—and you think in reusable flows, not one-off screens
- Skilled at turning insights into decisions—through user testing, interviews, or usage data—and following through to ensure the correct outcomes or metrics have been moved
- Collaborative across disciplines—especially with working experience alongside engineers
- Effective communication and a solid reasoning process for your work
- Empathy and emotional intelligence—in design and in how you work with others
- Experience designing for AI-native UX (memory, chat, voice, LLMs)
- Curiosity about how design processes are evolving—and how we build faster, better
- Familiarity with prompt design or AI tools
- A good eye for motion, micro-interactions, or shaping product personality
- Some frontend knowledge (HTML, CSS, JS, React Native)
- A chance to engage with a team deeply knowledgeable in the industry, along with motivated talent, all striving to make a positive difference in our world.
- An appealing compensation package with equity options
- Flexible working hours and remote work. We believe in trust and responsibility, not in 9-5 office hours. You are measured on the outcome of your work, not hours in the chair.
- As an early core employee, you’ll be able to significantly contribute to the company strategy and your own career path.
- We have an office in Copenhagen, but a remote-first approach with people spread across Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Germany, Romania, and Portugal.
