The opportunity:
The regional Accounting Manager will be reporting to the Global Head of Accounting and centered at our Copenhagen office. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and lead a small central Accounting team all situated in Copenhagen, who handles the day-to-day accounting for our sites in Europe (Denmark (HQ), Germany, Czech Republic and UK), ensuring seamless cooperation with our internal stakeholders, such as the other regional Accounting teams and other functions, and external stakeholders, such as auditors and advisors.
The primary tasks:
- Comprehensive Accounting Oversight: Handle end-to-end accounting for all European (‘EMEA’) and HQ legal entities.
- Financial Closing: Oversee monthly and yearly closings for EMEA and HQ entities.
- OPEX Controlling and Reporting: Manage OPEX postings and reporting for EMEA/HQ entities.
- Compliance: Ensure Local GAAP and IFRS compliance across all countries in the region and HQ, with support from Global Head of Accounting and external advisors.
- Statutory Reporting: Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations (GAAP) and tax regulations (VAT/GST/CIT/transfer pricing), supported by external advisors.
- Payroll Accounting: Manage payroll payments and related accounting for regional entities.
- Process Development: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal control.
- People management: lead the central accounting team in both operational and development tasks
Qualifications:
We are seeking a Regional Accounting Manager who can identify with the description below:
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting-related positions and some experience with managing a team or managing resources and stakeholders in a larger project.
- An educational background in Accounting, Finance or related areas.
- Strong excel skills and experiences or interest in working with Power BI and Power Query.
- Hands-on experience with managing Danish VAT rules and some knowledge of EU VAT rules.
- Hands-on experience with managing Danish E-boks, Virk, MitID and other relevant platform for the company.
- Knowledge of local reporting requirements such as Intrastat and import customs regulations.
- Experience with preparing financial statements in accordance with Danish GAAP or IFRS.
- Professional proficiency in Danish & English.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and persuasively to various audiences, including senior leadership.
- Highly organized with a meticulous approach to work, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for interpreting data and generating actionable insights to drive strategic decisions.
