About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader with a strong sense of purpose to thoughtfully lead our Facility Management function at the Copenhagen site.

This is a high-impact, Director-level role responsible for the full scope of facility operations, encompassing both hard and soft services. You will lead the daily work of multiple integrated teams across reception, security, workplace services, energy, black utilities, and building maintenance, ensuring safe, compliant, and sustainable operations that support our dynamic biotech manufacturing environment.

As Director of Facility Management, you will shape the first impression our clients, employees, and guests have when they enter our facilities. You will set the standard for our spaces and the experience we deliver to everyone who works in or visits them.

This role translates AGC Biologics’ strategic goals into actionable plans, while driving operational excellence across infrastructure, services, and environmental performance. You will also contribute to policy development and site-wide planning, while leading a diverse organization of 40+ leaders, technicians, service personnel, and specialists, alongside an equal number of professionals in outsourced service functions.

  • Manage security operations, access systems, and safety compliance,
  • Lead hospitality services including meeting support, catering, internal events, and transport,
  • Ensure seamless delivery of office-related services such as mail, supplies, switchboard, and onsite assistance,
  • Manage outsourced services including office cleaning and canteen operations.

Hard Facility & Infrastructure Management

  • Lead teams responsible for building maintenance and operations (indoor and outdoor),
  • Ensure upkeep of critical infrastructure and black utilities (e.g., HVAC, compressed air, steam, water systems),
  • Drive the energy management strategy, including monitoring, reporting, and energy efficiency initiatives,
  • Oversee pest control, fire protection, and safety systems,
  • Support and deliver reinvestment and modification projects aligned with EHS and sustainability goals,
  • Lead teams managing cleanroom cleaning (under GMP) and facility compliance.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a long-term Facility Management strategy aligned with both site and global objectives,
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across Engineering, QA, QC, Development, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Manufacturing, and Corporate Functions,
  • Lead and develop a diverse team of managers and specialists through coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews,
  • Ensure functional budgets and resource plans are aligned with business priorities.

Your Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field,
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in facility management,
  • Experience in a complex manufacturing or regulated environment,
  • Proven ability to manage both technical infrastructure and service delivery,
  • Strong knowledge of EHS, energy systems, and GMP/cleanroom facility compliance (GMP experience is a plus),
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through others, communicate across all levels, and drive change,
  • Fluency in English; Danish language skills are an advantage.
