ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for an experienced Curve Power Trader. This pivotal role calls for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in European power markets, building and optimizing trading strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to be part of the trajectory and triumph of our power trading activities. This position requires strategic thinking with a deep understanding of the power markets and the ability to navigate complex market dynamics. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· The successful candidate will develop and execute comprehensive trading strategies, based on analysis of fundamental, technical, and weather strategies across multiple markets.

· Fundamental knowledge of electricity/gas markets across Germany, CWE, South EU.

· Fostering cross-functional collaboration with main stakeholders from other teams to ensure best trading decisions and risk management protocols.

· Understanding of new trends and technologies that impact the long term outlook of the European energy market.

· Prepare and present regular reports that detail portfolio performance, offer market insights, and outline strategic recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

· Possession of a master’s degree or professional certifications will be considered an advantage.

· A minimum of 3 years' experience in trading European power markets with a proven track record of success.

· Expert knowledge of the energy market, trading principles, and risk management strategies.

· Outstanding analytical capabilities, negotiation acumen, and decision-making prowess. This includes statistics, such as time series analysis and regression.

· Proficiency in using advanced trading and risk management software.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as a strong team player.

· Experience with Python for data analysis and the ability to models and back test models is an advantage

· Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages will be viewed favourably.
