Magle Group is a dynamic organization within the life sciences sector, dedicated to bringing life-changing products to patients in need. We are now strengthening our organization by establishing a dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) function in Denmark, working in close collaboration with our Swedish counterpart.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and pragmatic Senior EHS Manager to oversee and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in Denmark. This position is key to creating a safe and sustainable workplace and will involve close collaboration with our Swedish EHS partner to align efforts across Magle Group. The ideal candidate has solid knowledge of Danish legal requirements and best practices within the life sciences or chemical industry and is capable of implementing effective EHS strategies in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead the EHS strategy for our Danish operations in alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant Danish EHS regulations, standards, and ISO frameworks.
Safe Work Environment: Promote a proactive safety culture and implement programs that protect employee health and well-being.
Environmental Management: Lead initiatives that minimize environmental impact, such as waste handling, emissions control, and resource efficiency.
Policy Development: Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures tailored to Danish regulations and corporate objectives.
Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement controls to manage identified hazards.
Training & Education: Deliver and coordinate EHS training programs to build awareness and ensure organizational compliance.
Incident Management: Manage incident reporting and investigations in Denmark, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Authority Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for Danish authorities on EHS matters, ensuring compliance and clear communication.
Collaboration: Cooperate closely with the Swedish EHS counterpart to ensure knowledge sharing and alignment of cross-border EHS efforts.
Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements through audits, inspections, and performance monitoring using relevant EHS KPIs.
Reporting: Manage Danish EHS data collection and reporting to national authorities and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical Engineering, or similar. A master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: 7–10 years of EHS experience in the life sciences or chemical industry, preferably in a leadership role.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of Danish EHS legislation, ISO standards, and industry best practices.
Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Danish.
