BI Reporting and Analytics Specialist BOLIA

About The Job

In short, we have a wealth of data at BOLIA, and we aim to utilize it even more effectively than we do today! To strengthen this effort, we are looking for a new colleague to act as BI Reporting and Analytics Specialist with a primary focus on the PowerBI platform. In this role, you will have a broad interface across all departments at BOLIA, and you will also collaborate with our many external partners in developing new reporting solutions.

Your tasks

The tasks in this role are numerous and varied. Examples include:

• Drive and participate in the development of reporting solutions in PowerBI to enhance BOLIA's decision-making capabilities and foster a performance-driven culture.
• Take ownership of BOLIA’s BI platform, with a primary focus on the front-end. This includes defining governance and best practice principles for BI in BOLIA.
• Collaborate closely with your colleague responsible for backend BI tasks, who will establish the data foundation for your work, primarily by integrating it into our BI cube.
• Participate in the ongoing project including taking our current on-prem BI platform to the next level using Microsoft Fabric, expanding our current reporting capabilities.
• Provide second-level support for BI frontend-related tasks.
• Manage vendors and follow up on deliveries from external partners who assist with BI work.
• Participate in various business projects in collaboration with all departments at BOLIA.
• Participate in the BI Center of Excellence in BOLIA to align on the BI efforts.
  
  

BOLIA and our IT solutions are undergoing rapid development, providing you with the opportunity to make a significant impact from day one by setting the agenda within the BI area, in collaboration with your colleagues. You will become a key figure at our headquarters, collaborating closely with many of your colleagues across all departments. Additionally, we will continue to engage external partners to assist with BI tasks, who will also serve as your professional sparring partners.

Your Qualifications

We value personality and practical experience far more than educational background, which can vary. The more of the following points you can check off, the better.

• You are highly skilled at developing precise and advanced PowerBI reports, consistently delivering insightful and impactful data visualizations, with 3+ years of documented experience.
• You are passionate about inspiring others and showcasing the potential of data and Business Intelligence to drive better decision-making across the organization.
• You possess strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• You have knowledge of DAX, Star Schema modeling, GIT, and the creation of custom visuals, which is considered an advantage.
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• You have a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in your work.
• You have a collaborative approach, working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and drive organizational success.
• You are eager to acquire new knowledge and stay updated on the latest trends in your field, such as AI and Microsoft Copilot for PowerBI.
