Now, we’re looking for a hands-on and visionary Head of IT Operations to join us in Stilling near Skanderborg and establish a scalable, secure, and future-ready IT foundation.
Your mission: Build, Lead, Transform
As Head of IT Operations, you’ll report to the Head of IT and be responsible for designing, leading, and evolving our core IT infrastructure and system landscape. This new role gives you the unique opportunity to shape a department from the ground up – building a high-performing team (3-4 new hires), defining processes, and driving key initiatives within cloud, cybersecurity, data & AI, and architectural governance.
You’ll act as technical authority across projects, ensure secure and high-performing systems, and collaborate closely with our Head of IT Services to deliver a smooth end-user experience. Some travel to our other Danish and international offices may be required for alignment and knowledge sharing.
Core responsibilities of the IT Operations Department
- Infrastructure & Systems: Manage servers, networks, backend systems, and cloud platforms
- Support: Deliver 3rd-level support and assist with escalations
- Project Ownership: Lead technical execution and architectural alignment
- Security: Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures
- Performance: Ensure stability, availability, and troubleshooting
- Documentation: Maintain system and process documentation
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a proactive and strategic IT leader with strong technical insight and the ability to lead through structure, clarity, and collaboration. You thrive in a growing organization and are motivated by the chance to build something meaningful.
Your qualifications
- 5+ years in IT operations and 2+ years in a leadership role
- Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Solid experience with infrastructure and system management
- Strong knowledge of server, network, and cloud environments
- Excellent communicator with a problem-solving mindset
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance
Preferred skills
- Background in IT architecture and operations
- Familiarity with ITIL and best practices
- Coaching-oriented leadership style
- Proactive approach to improvements
- Strong sense of structure and attention to detail
