Backup Expert Engineer

emagine is seeking an Expert Engineer for providing expert support for file-based restore testing for over 100 business-critical/high-availability applications, ensuring efficient backup restoration processes within the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the analysis of technical requirements for file-based restore testing.
• Provide advice on best practices for backup restoration.
• Collaborate with the WS2.7 team to secure restore testing solutions.
• Define specifications for networking, security, and policies related to backup processes.
• Participate in Proof of Concept (PoC), testing, and analyze results.
• Support the documentation of test solutions (SOP document).
  
  

Key Requirements:

• Expertise in backup engineering, specifically with Veritas NetBackup and Windows file-based restore capabilities.
• Strong technical lead experience with excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• In-depth understanding of Veritas NetBackup components and experience in designing solutions and system development.
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience co-authoring standard operating procedure (SOP) documents.
• Familiarity with industry best practices in backup and restore solutions.
