We are looking for a manager for the Automation and OT Process Systems department. You will play an important role in strengthening automation competencies and help us take the next steps in producing pharmaceutical products! As Manager of Automation and OT Process Systems you will be providing leadership direction for a small but dedicated team of Automation and OT Systems Engineers.

About The Department

We collaborate with diverse stakeholders in the organization at site- and global levels including, Plant Engineering, Production Departments, IT, Validation, and QA. You will experience an enthusiastic working climate focused on quality, teamwork, and delivery.

As we are a technical team and company, you will base your leadership role on insights and knowledge in pharmaceutical automation. Your broad understanding of Automation and IT technology will support and lead the way for how we manage all process control systems and further develop our existing platforms.

Your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Act as a mentor and coach for the team members, make sure that they grow and develop on their projects.
  • Assign the right people and balance capacity in relation to project demands.
  • Work in close partnership with the manager and directors in Engineering and Manufacturing departments as well as the other managers in our IT area
  • Develop strategic initiatives in the department that are linked to the overall AGC Biologics strategy.
  • You will be involved directly in the projects where you can expect to use up to 50% of your time, providing technical and/or project leadership for the design, development and life cycle management of automation and control systems, including engineering, startup, commissioning, qualification and troubleshooting of systems controlling process systems to support Manufacturing.
  • Stay on top of future technological trends within pharma automation.
  • Maintain the standards and guidelines related to process deliverables, which you will have the overall responsibility for.
  • Contribute to the automation, architectural and site road map for the large-scale multi-purpose facilities in our Copenhagen site by developing and implementing site automation strategy in alignment with Engineering CAPEX initiatives.
  • Participate in Global Engineering automation related activities in order to align with overall technology requirements, standards development and documentation life cycle requirements across the entire AGC Biologics network.

Your Profile

  • A degree within electrical engineering, Computer Science or similar.
  • Have worked at least 5 years as a leader in the Pharma or Biotech industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with SCADA/PLC solutions and control system protocols.
  • Experience managing a project team and delivering automation CAPEX projects.
  • It would be considered an advantage if the candidate has experience within API production.
