Your New Role

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Senior Director for Commercial to join our team in the Nordics, reporting to the SVP Commercial. This role focuses on collaborating with sales leaders and the leadership team to identify and implement new business opportunities and cross-functional initiatives in the Nordic region.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Act as the strategic lead and right-hand to the SVP Commercial, collaborating on reporting and working with local sales leaders across Distribution and Ad Sales (Digital and Traditional).
  • Challenge the status quo to build partnership models aligned with strategic priorities, enhancing Warner Bros. Discovery's presence in the Nordic market.
  • Establish processes and align teams to maximize the performance of our content and key franchises, leveraging our portfolio and products.
  • Partner with finance to build and implement financial models and activity tracking plans to ensure business relations meet financial targets.
  • Use strong analytical skills to assess market trends, drive data-informed decisions, and advise on cross-platform deal negotiations.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and contribute to overall company goals.

Skills, Experience, And Requirements

  • Proven experience in leadership positions in digital and media ad sales, preferably within the Nordic region.
  • Highly proactive with exceptional ability to strategically innovate and drive new business opportunities.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of financial forecasting and metrics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with C-suite executives.
  • Ability to create and present high-quality materials to senior leaders concisely and impactfully.
  • Deep understanding of the evolving digital media landscape, including key Nordic broadcasters, streaming platforms, and AVOD players.
  • Proven skills in digital TV advertising, driving results through industry know-how and platform-specific strategies.
  • Structured and organized mindset, capable of managing complex projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Experienced in reporting and skilled in PowerPoint, delivering structured and impactful presentations.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work in a diverse and global matrix organization.
  • Background in Senior Commercial or Ad Sales roles, with an interest in new challenges within the Nordic commercial landscape, is a strong advantage.
