About the role:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Product Manager with a strong technical background to join our team and help us develop and deliver high-quality software products. In this role, you will be responsible for defining product requirements, setting priorities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the foundational services for our literacy products are developed and delivered according to customer needs and market trends. The ideal candidate will have experience in software product management, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and a passion for delivering exceptional services and products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the product roadmap for the Core Assisting Services team, aligning with business goals and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering to translate product requirements into technical specifications, ensuring feasibility and optimal implementation.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch, iteration, and end-of-life.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, making data-driven decisions based on user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product strategy.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders across the organization, including leadership, engineering, sales, and marketing.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices, and identify opportunities to leverage them for product innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager to solve complex technical challenges and make informed decisions regarding system architecture, scalability, and performance.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Proven experience (1+ years) as a Product Manager, with a strong focus on technical products or services.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and prioritize product requirements and features.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with SaaS products in the ed-tech or linguistic field.
  • Experience with product management and analytics tools (e.g. ProductBoard, Confluence).
  • Experience with prototyping and user-centred design.
