Your Position
As a Senior Buyer in our Transitional Energies division, you will become a valuable member of our dedicated Procurement team, working strategically and operationally on sourcing and purchasing for projects worldwide. Additionally, you will support our global Service department, ensuring efficient procurement processes for maintenance and operational needs across our projects.
At Semco Maritime, safety is a core value, and in this role, you will contribute to maintaining and promoting a strong safety culture while delivering innovative solutions. Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.
Your place of work will be at our local Semco Maritime office unless otherwise agreed. The position has a weekly working time of 37 hours, and occasional business travel should be expected.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities
As Senior Buyer/Purchaser your main responsibilities will be to take a leading role and assure assignment of daily demand for procurement support through effective communication and coordination with project team members, both internally and externally. A significant part of the role involves coordination and utilizing ERP systems, ensuring strong master data management, and contributing to process improvements.

- Daily handling and assigning incoming purchase requirements.
- Creating and maintaining part numbers and supplier records in IFS according to procedures, ensuring high-quality master data maintenance.
- Supporting procurement processes through ERP systems, including converting purchase requisitions into purchase orders and ensuring structured workflows.
- Expediting orders and verifying invoices for accurate and timely payments.
- Receiving, registering, and managing purchase-related documents in compliance with data security standards, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
- Contributing to process optimization by developing tools that enhance data processing efficiency and improving procurement structures.
We are looking for an outgoing and positive Senior Buyer/Purchaser who is passionate about purchasing and eager to leave their personal mark. You have a proactive and organized approach to your work and are motivated to improve teamwork, supplier relationships and internal procurement processes.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- Fluency in English at a negotiation level; local language skills are an advantage.
- Experience with purchasing and negotiation, preferably from a project-oriented organization.
- Solid contract and change management skills.
- Basic Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong ability to multi-task and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- A structured and detail-oriented mindset, ensuring data quality and process efficiency.
