Your Role & Responsibilities As Head Of Technology Services
You will be responsible for defining and executing the bank’s infrastructure strategy, ensuring a secure and scalable IT environment that supports business growth and digital transformation. By managing outsourced services, vendor relationships, and cost optimization initiatives, this role ensures operational efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives. Additionally, the role contributes to shaping the bank’s digital strategy, providing strategic reporting to senior leadership, and supporting the achievement of long-term business goals.

Your Role & Responsibilities As Head Of Technology Services
You will be responsible for defining and executing the bank’s infrastructure strategy, ensuring a secure and scalable IT environment that supports business growth and digital transformation. By managing outsourced services, vendor relationships, and cost optimization initiatives, this role ensures operational efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives. Additionally, the role contributes to shaping the bank’s digital strategy, providing strategic reporting to senior leadership, and supporting the achievement of long-term business goals.
Infrastructure Strategy & Management
- Manage the outsourced infrastructure team and ensure the timely delivery of services across key areas such as data centers, cloud infrastructure, network services, and server management.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that aligns with the bank's growth objectives, business requirements, and digital transformation goals.
- Ensure that the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and resilient to support business continuity, data integrity, and the bank’s ongoing digital initiatives.
- Lead the relationship with the external infrastructure service provider, ensuring that SLAs (Service Level Agreements), KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and contractual obligations are met consistently.
- Implement governance mechanisms to monitor vendor performance, ensuring quality, uptime, security, and adherence to best practices. Includes overseeing the negotiation of vendor contracts and renewals to ensure value for money and alignment with business priorities.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings within the infrastructure function, focusing on optimization of resources, vendor negotiations, and technology consolidation.
- Collaborate closely with the CDO to implement cost-saving initiatives across the broader department, including infrastructure, software, licenses, and services.
- Develop and manage the annual infrastructure budget, ensuring costs are tracked against forecasts and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Develop and maintain regular reporting structures to keep the CDO and senior management updated on performance, challenges, and progress towards targets, includes stakeholder management and reporting to board of directors.
- Responsible for defining and driving the digital strategy in alignment with the bank's overall business objectives, together with the Digital Leadership Team
- Responsible for monitoring the performance of digital initiatives and IT operations to ensure they meet the bank's strategic goals.
- Responsible for financial follow up of the functions as well as ensuring that the budget process is followed.
- Inspirational in how you showcase the structure and process that supports your area.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing both internal and external teams.
- Clear demonstrable experience of communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Thrives in working in a team and across the organisation, in a highly collaborative way.
- Knowledge in how to develop long-term infrastructure roadmaps.
- Strength of analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions, reporting, and improvements.
- Passion for optimizing infrastructure costs and managing budgets effectively.
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service to our customers, internal and external.
- Strong knowledge about supplier management and the process surrounding it.
- Experience in managing vendor contracts, negotiations, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Solid understanding of the financial services industry, including regulatory requirements (e.g., data security, compliance).
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises infrastructure.
- Actively monitors and adapts to the latest technological advancements and industry trends. Applies new knowledge to enhance strategies, drive innovation, and maintain competitive advantage within the organization.
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in managing outsourced infrastructure services (e.g., cloud providers, data centers).
- Proven track record of driving cost savings and operational efficiencies in infrastructure domain.
- Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and technology partners to integrate third-party products or services effectively.
- Experience in managing vendor contracts, negotiations, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Solid understanding of the financial services industry, including regulatory requirements (e.g., data security, compliance).
