ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the primary focus of this role will be to work within a team of multi-skilled technicians, apprentices and contractors to maintain, install and improve the performance of processing equipment across the kitchen, filling, packing and site services.
Other functions of the role will be to be proactive and carry out corrective work orders. You will also cover maintenance issues and breakdowns. Key tasks will include further developing the maintenance schedule (PM strategy) by providing feedback on tasks. Additionally, you will use continuous improvement techniques to promote world-class engineering standards via our in-house process control system. Liaising with other internal departments to update necessary documentation will also be part of your responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and automation systems in our production facility
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
- Identify and implement improvements in automation and electrical systems
- Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operations
- Follow health & safety regulations and our high food safety quality standards
- Machine uptime and production efficiency
- Response time to technical issues
- Successful completion of maintenance and repair tasks
- Implementation of process improvements
- Adherence to health & safety and food safety quality standards
- Certified Industrial Electrician or Automation Technician (or similar technical background)
- Experience with PLC systems, automation, and industrial electrical installations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- A proactive team player with a structured and solution-oriented mindset
- Open to learning and growing into a leadership role in the future
