Student assistant for Accounting, Controlling and Tax Team - #388315

We are looking for 3 Student Assistants to join our Group Finance team The student assistant role offers a rare opportunity to make an impact in a highly international and ambitious company while gaining experience in the area of Accounting, Controlling and Tax Hempel’s Group Finance team is based at the corporate head office in Kgs. Lyngby, and supports the entire Hempel Group We are currently a diverse team of 12 colleagues in Lyngby, focusing on Accounting, Controlling and Tax The global Group Finance organization consist of more than 350 colleagues Key responsibilities You will be supporting Accounting, Controlling and Tax initiatives - working independently and together with others on a wide range of tasks, including:

• Controlling of monthly reporting of financial and tax figures
• Working with data analysis and workflows in Alteryx
• Supporting in regards to Statutory and Tax Compliance tasks, using the compliance tool Digital Gateway
• Building reports in our consolidation tool and maintaining master data
• Supporting in legal related Financial matters (local country requirements & regulations) such as statistical reporting and similar tasks
• Supporting in various external reporting (tasks can vary throughout the year)
• Various admin tasks and projects driving improvements within the function
• Updating and maintaining intranet site on Helix
• Ad-hoc duties as required by the Head of each area within Group Finance

To accomplish your assigned tasks, you will need to communicate effectively with colleagues from different cultural and professional backgrounds To succeed in this role… We imagine that you have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Relevant educational background – currently a student within the Finance or Data analysis area (e.g. HD.R, Finansøkonom, Finansbachelor, Financial controller, HA almen, HA in international business, Cand.merc.aud, Dataanalyse, Data science or similar)
• IT skills are required – we need someone who can easily get around various new IT systems, setup automation flows and understand IT systems and applications;
• Have an interest and flair for understanding data and related processes;
• Have experience in using Excel;
• Fluent in written and spoken English;
• Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable;
• Independent and willing to take individual responsibility for your tasks and for further professional development, while understanding the team’s goals, deadlines, and priorities;
• Responsible for efficiently supporting multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail across all tasks and timelines
